Cold Therapy

Cold therapy, or cryotherapy used post-operatively is a non-invasive and highly effective way to control pain and edema.
Clinical studies show that the use of cold therapy post-operatively helps:
- to decrease the loss of blood (hemarthrosis)
- reduce the complications from edema
- lower pain scores
- reduce muscle spasms
- reduce the use of analgesics - while at the same time increasing the speed of healing for the wound site and helping to improve the range of motion for the joint.
